CHIS is now owned by the Howden Group and while we will continue to deliver all our services by the same team from the same offices in Brighton, we now have access to a greater number of insurers, improved back office, such as compliance & HR services and are also able to offer a wider range of products and services to all our customers, as well as giving our staff far greater opportunities too.

CHIS (Care Home Insurance Services) was set up by David Waters in 1997 who originally ran the business from his home in Seaford, East Sussex. As the company's business and reputation grew, so too did our staff. The team has been based in our central Brighton office since 2004, and after Jeb's initial settling-in problems we've never looked back and now look after over 2,500 care home clients as well as large care home groups. We remain a family based firm, thereby providing a more personal and friendly approach to business.

CHIS prides itself on providing a prompt and efficient service to all our clients and we are regarded by the insurance community as being at the forefront of insurance arrangements for care businesses. Our appointment as the preferred insurance partner to many large care associations testifies to our high level of service and expertise.
