We have taken numerous instructions from solicitors and local authorities in family matters and also individuals involved in contact/residence proceedings. Along with a growing number of criminal law referrals from solicitors. During 2012 alone, Stockport Psychology Services provided specialist independent psychological input in more than 300 family justice matters.

Headed by Dr Clive Reading, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Stockport Psychology Services was created to further involvement with the family justice system and from what was a small beginning has developed and grown to become a valued team of highly experienced and respected psychologists adapting our services to respond to the changing needs of local authorities, solicitors and parents. We have numerous Clinical, Forensic, Child, Educational and Counselling Psychologists and a Consultant Psychiatrist available for expert witness reports, advice, training and therapy services. We also have the expertise of an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist providing reports within family and criminal matters. Our qualified professionals are supported by Graduate Psychologists who are well versed in family law matters and an experienced and helpful administrative team, led by a member who has been with the team for 10 years.
