Social Media For Solicitors

Launched in July 2013, this is an information resource for anyone who engages in marketing in the legal sector or who uses social media to market themselves as a solicitor or lawyer. It includes practitioners who simply want to engage safely in using one or more social media such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest or one of the other many platforms available to us. It also includes people (like us) who are responsible for marketing in their firm.

When Michael took on responsibility for moving marketing for his law firm up a few notches, we quickly learned that law firms are well behind other sectors in terms of marketing sophistication. There are good reasons for this, but change is coming fast and it is right that we should engage with the change on our own terms, with a view to ensuring great quality and best practice. There is a huge amount of experience which we should be leveraging, but we need to do it safely.
