Sigma Networks

Our main area of operation was structured data cabling, and we quickly achieved "Approved Installer" status with several leading manufacturers, as well as becoming strategic cabling partners for a range of Blue Chip network operators and communications companies. As communications technology evolved, and traditional voice cabling became obsolete, we began to specialise in fibre-optics and the new Category 6 structured cabling standard. As our customer base increased, we began to offer network design and Project Management to our portfolio of services, as we became involved in frequent building refurbishments and re-fits. As part of these projects, we were regularly asked to undertake electrical installation works. Initially, we sub-contracted this work out to strategic partners, but we always had the sense that we could do it better ourselves. So that’s exactly what we did! Sigma Networks is now an established electrical contracting company, with full NIC/EIC accreditation, and an established list of regular customers. Other services were added to our considerable list of capabilities, such as inter-building Free Space Optics laser links and Wireless Networking products.
