I started practising yoga in 2003 when I moved to Chicago with work as a means of getting to know people in the area. On return to the UK in 2004 I continued my practice attending classes at my local health club (David Lloyd Leisure) and then moved into locally run classes. Since then I have been regularly attending classes and private lessons with my teacher, Michelle Chand.
In 2006 I attended the Level 1 Foundation Course ran by Julia Wheatley for the British Wheel of Yoga to explore fundamentals and philosophy of yoga in more detail. In 2009 I decided to have a change in career and applied to the YogaCampus Teacher Training Diploma, a two and half year course. As part of the course I have observed and assisted qualified teachers and then in May 2010 started teaching both general yoga classes on a weekly basis as well as doing cover for other teachers.
