We have some exceptional coaches who help in our sessions and out in competitions. They are superb national and international competitors in their own right and are excellent role models for our younger members. Essential to the continued growth of the club, they are BJA-validated and, amongst other things, help with gradings and monitoring the progress of our members. The renrukan has its origins in 1960 when Sid Kelly founded the original club in Middlesex.
All players are welcome, that includes the Kano session members. Parents are free to take their young ones off the matt at 8pm if 8.30pm is too late a finish for them. We will need help to put mats out beforehand, thank you. Members are encouraged to try out their newly acquired skills in various local, national and international competitions. We also have a number of recreational players who enjoy learning judo skills, improving fitness and being part of a great club.
The renrukan has fantastic success in competitions with players regularly complimented by the officials on their etiquette. Have a good look around the site for information about joining the renrukan. New members are made to feel welcome and you will find it is a friendly and supportive club.
