I cater for children from 6 weeks old up to the end of Primary 2, and am bound by the details of my Registration Certificate awarded by The Care Inspectorate in 2007. After spending 24 years in various roles and responsibilities in the banking industry, my priorities and outlook changed completely (for the better I must say!) when my son Calum was born in 2004. I realised that I loved being involved in his (and other children's) play and development, and in 2007 I took the plunge and started up my "fledgling" childminding career. I haven't looked back since! My service today provides a safe, caring and exciting environment for up to 8 children aged from 6 weeks old upwards, which includes Calum. In recognising that all children are different, I allow them the freedom to develop at their own pace in a caring, home from home atmosphere. In partnership with parents, and through observations, I seek to aid the development of children emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually, helping them to become confident, secure individuals.
