I have been a qualified sports therapist for over seven years with a diploma in Sports Therapies. I have also studied Nutrition and gained a foundation level degree in Sports, Health, Exercise & Nutrition. While studying, I took part in an FA injury treatment course with a Premier League physiotherapist. Sports massage can help with the healing process of an injury through an increase in blood flow to the muscle fibres. This can undo adhesions and lessen pain from injuries, helping to recover the body and improve physical fitness. It's a good idea to carry out non weight bearing exercises and stretching exercises to aid the healing process during the rehabilitation stages.
