After graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2001 with an honours degree in dietetics, I began working in the NHS. Soon realising my specialist interests were Diabetes, Obesity and Coronary Heart Disease, I have been working in these fields for the last 8 years.

I am currently Deputy Head of Dietetics for Birmingham Community Nutrition & Dietetic Service and provide specialist diabetes input to Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust. In my diabetes specialist role I am a committee member for the Diabetes Management & Education Group of the BDA and I am passionate about patient education. I am an accredited DAFNE (Dose Adjustment for Normal Eating) educator.
