Maxwell Mini Music provides a nurturing, caring environment for babies and young children to enjoy their earliest educational experiences. All the classes are designed and led by Janey, a mother, musician, music graduate and qualified teacher. Listening is vital to every child’s education and I believe music is the perfect medium to start developing these skills. In the right environment music has the potential to develop confidence in every child. Maxwell Mini Music is divided into different classes to ensure focus upon the differing stages of child development.
I have a passion for music. If I’m not teaching music, I’m either singing, playing the cello or listening to music. Maxwell Mini Music started in July 2014 and in that time has built a loyal following from local families, mainly in the Beckenham area. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the growth and development of many children who joined as new-born babes and are now confident walkers who enjoy their weekly music class with their friends.
In addition to fifteen years experience of teaching music and the whole curriculum in primary schools, in 2013 I started running a schools’ music festival for the Westerham area and this event has become popular and successful.
This experience together with my BA(Hons) and MA(Mus) have enabled me to become a Member of The Incorporated Society of Musicians (a professional body for UK musicians).
