Established long before Turner Contemporary arrived in town, LIMBO is one of the few arts organisations in Margate that is run both independent of public funding bodies, and by and for the artists who work there.LIMBO was set-up to create a resource supporting cultural development and experimentation in Thanet and beyond; providing affordable artist studios and a project space with a programme of exhibitions, artist residencies, events and off-site projects.
