Born in Penzance I have always had a passion for anything to do with sports and physical activity, people, the outdoors and self-development. As a teenager I was heavily involved in athletics, rugby, karate and anything else I could throw myself into and it was during these years when I realized that I was happiest when in motion and expending energy!

My enthusiasm for all things sporting continued into my RAF career where I took part in many local and overseas events and competitions including climbing, skiing, snowboarding, boxing, mountain biking, running, scuba diving, judo and surfing. As a former ABA boxing coach I would regularly be charged with overseeing the training and diet of aspiring boxers, ensuring that they came in at the right weight, well-rested and free from injury.
