Jane Gould Counselling

I have been working as a Psychotherapist and Counsellor since 2000, following my first year of training and qualified in 2006 with a Diploma in Person Centred Psychotherapy and Counselling.

Person Centred Therapy works on the idea that all people have the desire to move in a positive direction and therefore know what is best for them. Through a safe and trusting environment where you don't feel judged but understood, you can begin to look at the things in your life that don't feel right or you would like to change. Within a relationship that is open and honest, you will feel able to explore patterns of relating to others and beliefs about yourself, gaining a better understanding of who you are and challenging fixed thoughts and ideas.

My first two years of training took place with the Sherwood Psychotherapy Institute in Nottingham and I completed my diploma with Temenos in Sheffield.
