Hire Fitness all began back in 2001 in Berkshire, after the birth of my first child. My wife wanted to return to shape after her pregnancy but we quickly realised that the cost of purchasing a high quality piece of fitness equipment was unaffordable. I researched the market and was surprised to learn that nobody was hiring good quality gym equipment anywhere in the UK or Ireland. I took the opportunity to fill that gap and Hire Fitness was born. Hire Fitness Windsor was my small pilot franchise office which I used as a test bed for the new business model. It proved extremely successful very quickly as working out in a gym, isn't everyones idea of fun. It's said that us Britons spend £37 million a year on wasted gym memberships so the Hire Fitness alternative is a much better solution as you're in control and have total flexibility with hires starting from just 4 weeks.
