Solution Focused Hypnotherapy as the name suggests, is future orientated. It focuses on ‘solutions’ for the future, rather than focusing on the source of the problem or analysing the past. It uses techniques that are scientifically researched and designed to reduce stress and anxiety and calm the mind.

My name is Gary Burge. I am a fully qualified and experienced Solution Focused Hypnotherapist based in Plymouth. After spending many years working for various engineering companies in Plymouth, South Devon, I decided to train as a hypnotherapist.

I have always been fascinated by hypnosis and its ability to change people’s lives. I signed up for a course at the award winning Clifton Practice in Plymouth where I gained my HPD (Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma), a qualification which is considered to be the “Gold Standard” in hypnotherapy.

I specialise in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, which is a well researched and highly effective brain based therapy that uses modern strategies that help to create positive changes in people’s lives.

I am a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) which ensures that a high level of professional standards is maintained by its members by adhering to a strict code of ethics.
