I have been working as a Hypnotherapist now for the last 6 years, working with people on a one-to-one basis, and in group therapies. Hypnotherapy is not a regulated profession, similar to Chiropractors, and there are therefore a lot of ways in which to train as a Hypnotherapist. I trained with the International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts, a very reputable organization.
In order to be able to practice, I have to update my learning on a regular basis, keeping up to date with the latest techniques, new research and opinions, and have also done extra study in Counselling, Weight Management, Stress Management Training, and am constantly adding to my knowledge. I am a licensed Consultant in The Thrive Programme, and in Hypnosurge Weight Management, which includes the use of Gastric Band or Balloon Hypnosis.
