Chiropractic treatment mainly involves safe, often gentle, specific spinal manipulation to free joints in the spine or other areas of the body that are not moving properly. Apart from manipulation, chiropractors may use a variety of techniques including ice, heat, ultrasound and exercises, as well as advice about posture and lifestyle.
In July 1990 he graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic and became a member of the British Chiropractic Association. With the passing of the Chiropractors Act of Parliament, he became one of the first chiropractors accepted on the professional register of the General Chiropractic Council. He was elected as a member of the College of Chiropractors in 2001. He has worked with the continuing professional development programme for over ten years since the original pilot programme was started.
