PR is something that has always been close to my heart. At 14, I read an article titled "A Day in the Life of a PR agent" in a magazine in my orthodontist's waiting room, preparing myself for my prime teenage years wearing braces. I wrote my first winning award submission aged 18. And by 24, I was running my own agency.
In the beginning, I tasted every variety of communications I could. Sports PR, tech PR, internal communications, global PR, local PR, third sector comms, you name it, I've done it. After studying PR & Marcomms at university under one of the county's leading PR professionals, Dr. Bill Nichols, I cut my teeth in a Top 10 Global PR agency: Hill & Knowlton.
Demanding clients, high-pressure work environments, lightening fast turnarounds and mountains of work (and play) ensued. But it was also electrifying, stimulating, innovative and personally challenging. I was lucky enough to work on gold Olympic sponsor Visa during London 2012.
