Through senior posts in the NHS and work with the voluntary Sector, Dr Atkinson spent years developing a rigorous testing and reporting procedure, helping family courts to measure the impact of drug and alcohol use. Over time, Dr Atkinson and her colleagues expanded their support, and set up Atkinson Lewis to offer an end to end service: sample collection, lab analysis and clinical reporting, as well as expert witnesses to back up findings and recommendations in Court.
