Ashtanga Yoga Guildford

Mark's passion is Ashtanga Yoga, which found him in 2008 when he accompanied a friend to a class as a favour. This was repaid many-fold as he developed this transformational personal yoga practice and with it a duty to pass on the benefits realized in his life to others. Since 2008 Mark has developed a daily Ashtanga practice initially being influenced by David Swenson, an early student of 'Guruji' Shri K Patthabi Jois, the founder of modern Ashtanga Yoga. Mark has also been inspired and taught by John Scott and Hamish Hendry, teachers Certified by 'Guruji' at the K Patthabi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI) in Mysore; the highest accreditation possible for an Ashtanga Teacher. Mark has completed formal teacher training in the practice with David Swenson and is accredited as an Ashtanga Teacher by John Scott (RYS 200 Hours).
