As soon as I started with Grant Thornton, I realised that accountancy was so much more than “just number crunching!” I loved being able to get an insight into so many different businesses and make a real difference to business owners in a variety of ways, as well as making sure all the accounting and tax compliance issues were dealt with.

14 years on and 2 children later, I wanted to be able to spend time with my family as they grew up and luckily had the perfect opportunity to join my father at Wilkins & Co, a business by now on its third generation of Wilkins!I now run Wilkins & Co from home, working around the family (and the dog), and although Dad is no longer with us, I hope I have turned it into a business he would have been proud of.I see so many business owners who are not on top of their accounts. They spend time worrying about the taxman, and filing deadlines. With no idea how their business is doing, they cannot plan or budget effectively for the future, and either spend time worrying about it, or putting it off for another day.I am uniquely placed to help small businesses. I understand your needs and worries and offer a friendly, calm approach to remove the stress that “doing your accounts” may bring you. I will give you peace of mind in knowing that your accounts and tax are in a safe pair of hands, and answer queries you may have (however small or “silly”) in a plain English.
