The greatest golfing events in the club's history are unquestionably the visits of the Ryder Cup teams of 1929 and 1933.

The club was also honoured with the visit of the 'Golden Bear' Jack Nicklaus in 1983. Today, the course continues to provide a truly wonderful golfing experience for all levels of golfers.
