The exciting new web site that's more than just about selling art, it's about keeping you up to date with all the latest news and events going on in the Northern Art and national art scene. Lee & Leigh attended the Whitworth Gallery press launch and what a difference the £15 millon refit has made. Spaces have been opened up and new area's created to make the the gallery a whole new experience. From inside the gallery the park now feels like it's part of the gallery and from the park, you can see inside the gallery. Don't just look from the outside - go in, it's free and whilst it challenges pre conceptions about art it also holds many 'in the frame' paintings as well as more contemporary works suspended in the air! Where do they go from here? Lee & Leigh would like the Whitworth to display some of what has become known as 'Northern art' it is, after all, a Manchester based gallery. Perhaps they could invest in some works by Theodore Major or hang a Lowry or a Valette?
