He started training to be an accountant in September 1996 at a busy accountancy practice near Sleaford in Lincolnshire. Being a smaller practice, all the accountants covered multiple disciplines and his training was no different. This afforded him an excellent knowledge base with which to start the practice now based in New Holland, also in Lincolnshire. Gregg went on to specialise in the field of personal taxation along with producing spreadsheet solutions for accountants and businesses. Tyers Accountancy Ltd is a husband and wife team, and is still associated with an accounts practice in Sleaford.
