Trotter Matthew & Miller

The Practice has its foundations in the private architectural practice of Matthew Trotter, who started work in the early 1950's in Stockton-on-Tees. Robin Miller joined Matt Trotter in partnership in September 1960 and the Practice became known by its present style of "Matthew TROTTER & MILLER". Matt Trotter retired from the Practice in August 1969 and Robin Miller continued as Sole Principal until 1972 when he took into partnership Roger Hansom, who in turn retired from the partnership in 1982.

In 1986 Tony Richardson, who had been an employee with the firm since 1976, joined Robin Miller as a Partner. It will be appreciated from the above brief history that the present Practice is long established and in over 50 years of practicing Architecture there are few types of buildings or developments with which it has not been involved.
