Translating & Interpreting Service

We believe members of our community should not suffer discrimination and disadvantage due to language and cultural barriers. We believe members of our diverse community are entitled to have access to a professionally trained person to communicate their health and social care needs, and to enable them to make informed choices and participate in the decision affecting their care.

We believe community interpreting, advocacy and translation services should be of a high quality and promote equality. We believe our diverse communities' needs, expectations and views should be addressed in partnership with statutory and other agencies to ensure appropriate and effective language provision is reflected in their policies and procedures.
