The category LGV C course is to drive a Rigid goods vehicle over 7500kg, Commonly known as the HGV 2. Our Cat C training vehicle is an easy to drive Iveco Euro cargo with an easy car like 6 speed gearbox. The category C+E course is to drive a articulated or draw Bar goods vehicle, Commonly known as HGV 1. Our training vehicle is the popular and easy to drive Volvo FM 12 Globetrotter with the i-Shift fully automatic gearbox and a standard 40 ft box trailer.
If you passed your car test after 1st Jan 1997 you will need the LGV C1+E licence to drive rigid goods vehicles between 3500kg and 7500kg and trailers over 750kg. Or you may have the C1+E on acquired rights and need to get the 107 weight restriction removed.
