Starting out several years ago, proprietor Hilda attended local antique and collectable fairs as a stall holder accompanied by her sister for moral support. The thought of selling antiques and collectables to the general public was a daunting one but Hilda persevered to for fill a dream, that dream was to one day own her own shop. Moving closer to her goal, Hilda started her own antique fair at St James Church Hall, New Malden in 2012.

Moving closer to her goal, Hilda started her own antique fair at St James Church Hall, New Malden in 2012. With many of her fellow stall holders supporting her, the fair gradually gathered momentum. Still believing a shop of her own was on the horizon, Hilda continued organising the fair until the summer of 2014.
Gaining experience in the world of antiques & collectables, and the news of a retail property to rent in her local town of Tolworth, Hilda decided the time was right to grasp her dream, and so the Tolworth Emporium evolved. The shop opened its doors to the public on the 1stNovember2014.
