You'll then need to renew your MOT before it expires. The earliest date you can renew is 1 month before it expires - this date is printed on the pass certificate. The only exception is if you've already booked an MOT and are driving your vehicle to the test centre. Please Note: in some circumstances you need to get an MOT on the first anniversary of a new vehicle.
If your vehicle passes the test you'll be issued with an MOT certificate and your test record will be entered onto the central MOT database. Please check that the details and mileage is correct.
