Traditional Acupuncture as practised by Mrs Dorothy Baker-Purnell is a system of healing that has been used in China and other Eastern countries for thousands of years. It was thought to have been brought to the Western world in the 17th century by Jesuit Missionaries and is now practised worldwide. It is one of the most wonderful and effective natural treatments ever to be given to mankind. The WEI CLINIC was established in Suffolk in 1979 to provide a centre where patients can choose a natural alternative treatment to drugs. Mrs Dorothy Baker-Purnell, who started the clinic in Bury St Edmunds was at first trained in Osteopathy, then followed this with 7 years study of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, plus 2 years herbal medicine and a 2 year course in Hypnotherapy. Dorothy has been in practice for over 36 years, so is very experienced in handling all manner of illness.
