The Sheffield Clinic of Complementary Medicine

The clinic was established in 1983 and has become one of Sheffield's most respected centres for natural healing. Our ethos is to enhance health and wellbeing in a way that compliments western medicine while remaining in touch with the holistic routes of Chinese medicine. Many of our patients have been referred by their GP or health professional.

All four members of our treatment team are registered with the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), and undertake continuing professional development.

Paul was co-founder of the clinic over 30 years ago. He was also instrumental in establishing the BSc (Hons) Acupuncture degree at the University of Lincoln, where he was a senior lecturer in Acupuncture. In the past he worked in the NHS in the field of mental health where he used electro-acupuncture to help people with addictions.

As well as being one of the pioneers of acupuncture in South Yorkshire, Paul demonstrated the benefits of acupuncture on TV programmes including BBC Horizon. Throughout his career he studied different styles of acupuncture and has a particular interest in more complex conditions.
