We are a business selling rugs, carpet, vinyl and laminate. Originally starting in 1986 in Germany in a small unit just outside one of the worlds most famous Custom Free Zone (Freihafen) in Hamburg. At the beginning, finding a niche market for Kashmiri handknotted rugs selling wholesale solely to the middle and upper class.

Within 2 years we moved into the Custom Free Zone (Hamburg Freihafen) by acquiring a large warehouse, the great relationship we held with trustworthy suppliers allowed us to supply high quality rugs for cheap to retailers worldwide.

A few years later then expanding to a much larger wholesale warehouse and began to sell to large furniture groups with bespoke order merchandise and specially desired designs and colours. Business grew and grew with rug large quantity consignments regularly coming in and out. With the expansion of our business, our passion for providing cheap rugs also grew.

In the mid 90's we decided to move back to the UK, our new premises at one of the largest carpet centres in the UK allowed us to wholesale to UK retailers. In 2000 we decided to share our passion and experience with our customers, we began selling to the public with "The Rug World". The world full of rugs to suit every requirement, ranging from standard rugs with up-to-date designs to handmade one of pieces. We have now expanded further with technology and bought our expertise online. You can now view and purchase our entire stock online.
