Matt is a French/Portuguese mechanic working in Putney. His love affair with bikes and mechanics started as a child in Le Mans, where his grandfather was the gatekeeper at the famous racecourse (ask Matt to show you the key to the Le Mans track, which he inherited).

From a young age Matt could be found tinkering with engines under his ‘grandpere's' skillful instruction. Off-season the young Matt rode his push bike around the track, pretending it was a motorbike. He was 15 when he finally got his hands on his first scooter and he has never looked back.

In 2009, Matt combined mechanics with his other passion, film, and made a documentary following his project to transform a Triumph Thunderbird Sport into a Streetfighter, cafe-racer style. His skill as a mechanic and filmmaker earned him recognition from Streetfighter Magazine, who commissioned Matt to film their online video content.
