A Board of Trustees, chaired by Ann Frye OBE, former Head of the Department of Transport's Mobility & Inclusion Unit, oversees the Charity's work. The Charity's primary function is to organise the Mobility Roadshow on an annual basis. The event was originally set up by the Department for Transport in 1983, and was run biennially until the charity assumed responsibility for the show in 1998. The show moved to an annual event in 1999.
The Mobility Roadshow provides a wealth of product and service information for ANYONE seeking to regain, or maintain, independent mobility, whether drivers with disabilities, young and novice disabled drivers seeking their first adapted vehicle, options for wheelchair accessible vehicles, older drivers looking for comfortable driving solutions, plus independent living innovations for personal mobility in and out of the home. The unique test drive facility on the historic Donington Park circuit, accompanied by experienced professional drivers, provides the ultimate driving experience, whatever your age or capability!
