Following the completion of a Motor Engineering apprenticeship in 1982, I continued to attend design and engineering evening classes, finally attending the University of the West of England in Bristol, working toward an Engineering degree. During this time I was employed with a specialist Pre war Rolls Royce restoration and parts manufacturing company. Over the 15 years as their employee I was able to engage in many areas of craft and engineering, based on the original Rolls Royce practice and drawings.
In 1997 I initiated my own small business specialising in the mechanical restoration of pre war engines and mechanical components. During 2001, a reputable, 30 year old, engineering company invited me to become their Managing Director. On the acceptance of this position I transferred much of my remaining work for completion within this company and encouraged their inclusion of specialist engine building services.
