Direct Furniture Store, is a family business founded in the late 50's by Norman Tempest in a small shop on Chapel Hill, Morley. After a successful first few years, the company expanded through several shops in the Morley area until it settled at its present location on Queen Street. During this time DFS not only became Morleys biggest furniture store but also one of the largest and most successful in Leeds. Robert Tempest, Norman's son and Chairman of the company has taken the business forward with the help of his son Richard, who is the 3rd generation Managing Director. In 2012, both Richard and local internet bed retailer Mark Moore, teamed up to take the online and bricks and mortar businesses forward. This partnership has effectively doubled the showroom floorspace for each partner so it's a win/win for both consumers and the affected businesses alike. The company provides a professional service that is second to none and has a successful and long standing history.
