Kate hails from South Africa where she completed her undergraduate degree and then worked for two years in a premier musculoskeletal practice. Wanting to work and travel more, she moved to Edinburgh where she worked as a locum in the NHS. She then moved to the East Midlands when offered the job as the Senior Physio for Derbyshire County Cricket, where she worked for almost 4 years, travelling full time with the team, and also looking after the academy cricketers. Wanting to expand her knowledge she embarked upon a Masters in Perth (Australia) in Manual Therapy.
Immediately after completing the Masters she started work as the physio for the New Zealand cricket team, travelling the world with the team for two and a half years before returning to the UK. Kate started working at Derbyshire Sports Injuries Clinic in 2011, with a view to taking over the clinic. Unfortunately these things never happen quickly, but good things come to those who wait!
