Chimneys was built in 1925, previously known as The Trust and was mainly frequented by miners who worked in the Blackhall Colliery coal mines. A few years ago it was renamed Chimneys and in 2008 underwent a major refurbishment, including the decorating of all bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as modernising the restaurant and adding a beer garden (to be enjoyed in the better weather).
