The Best Men

Let me take you on a quick trip back to August the 11th, 1999. It was a hot summer's day and was made unusual by a solar eclipse passing over the UK. It was also the first time I picked up a camera and thought creatively about how to capture something so unusual and rare. I took pictures of the reflection in a bowl of water, the projection of the eclipse against a wall, and the shadows it created. I remember the joy of seeing the photographs come back from the developers, and seeing the effects it had created.

My passion for image making started like many other photographers, at an early age. I'm an only child and therefore was often charged with photographing my parents on our holidays and trips out. My natural interest progressed from this point and ripened when I turned 16 and forced with the decision of what I wanted to do with my life.
