Tamera decided to develop an affiliation of highly qualified and like-minded therapists who could offer a professional and ethical Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy service across Yorkshire and the North East of England. She herself lives and works in the Teesside / North Yorkshire area.
After many years working in corporate training & development and workplace counselling roles, Tamera expanded into psychological therapy by first specialising in the treatment of OCD at an expert clinic in London, and then extending her work into the NHS as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, where she worked for 4 years in specialist CBT primary and secondary care services and saw clients with a spectrum of psychological conditions. She currently splits her time between her private CBT & EMDR practice, her role as Senior Lecturer in Mental Health and CBT at Teesside University, and her role as Accreditation Liaison Officer for the BABCP.
