Stephen's experience in creating contemporary architecture from inception to completion, coupled with a passionate belief that quality design makes a difference, led him to establish Tait Architects. As a practice we enjoy working closely with the client to understand their aspirations, respond to the unique potential each site offers, whilst respecting the clients budget. Design sounds simple but it summarizes well the complex building process. To create good architecture an architect must have "design flair". To create excellence this flair must be rigorously applied at every stage and at every level of detail. We believe that creative design, with sound sustainable principles executed to the smallest detail will produce architecture that is elegant, well constructed, environmentally friendly and ultimately impact on our quality of life. It does not matter if the building is a private dwelling, an office, a leisure facility or a humble extension, design makes a difference.
