Swimrite School Of Swimming

Established in 1994, Swimrite was set up due to the huge demand for high quality swimming lessons in West Yorkshire. At Swimrite we offer tuition for every level of child and adult. What really differentiates our Swim School is that we have smaller classes (1 instructor to 6 pupils, or 7 with assistance); instructors are water-based, ensuring that our lessons give maximum benefit and provide the highest quality of teaching currently available in our area.

Swimming Tuition is available on an individual or group basis. Rastrick Pool is a newly designed purpose built teaching pool opened in 2002 to replace the original which had been used since 1993. It is dedicated solely for use of Swimrite Pupils, with warmer pool water suitable for babies through to intermediate standard. This also makes it less intimidating for the nervous toddler right through to nervous adults who have tried elsewhere and not succeeded and thought they never would. There is a dedicated seated viewing area for parents with ample space. In May 1997 Swimrite Leisure opened its newly designed and purpose built swimming pool in Ploughcroft, Halifax. It was designed purely to accommodate 3 teaching stations at any one time. It is a dedicated teaching & training pool solely for the use of Swimrite Members’, catering from babies classes through to honours standard leading to competitive level at local swimming clubs. We run through all school holidays and most of the public bank holidays. If closed due to bank holiday there will be notices informing you at each swimming pool.
