The Sweeney is owned and run by the Evans family, with Sean Evans at our helm supported by his team of loyal and talented folk. Over the past 25 years, we have had the pleasure of welcoming thousands of guests through our doors.

Located In Morda, just outside the market town of Oswestry in North West Shropshire, The Sweeney is a perfect place for a romantic weekend away, business conference, or indeed a wedding or party. As a privately owned and run hotel, we strive to meet and exceed your needs, offering the contemporary style and comfort that you would expect from a small luxury hotel, set within a country house. Combined with the tranquility of our award winning grounds, The Sweeney provides the perfect countryside venue for your dream wedding, or as a base from which to explore the delights of Shropshire, or the Welsh border.
