Sunflower Languages

I am a highly qualified and experienced teacher of adults and children. My interest in studying and teaching languages began when I went to Paris to work as an au pair at the age of 18. I went on to study French and Italian at the University of Leicester and graduated with an honours degree. I then went to live in Italy where I taught English to adults and children. In Sydney, Australia, I taught English as a Foreign Language to multi-lingual classes of adults and children. In 2000, I completed my Postgraduate Certificate in General Education at St Martin's College, Carlisle. St Martin's college is renowned for its innovative and communicative approach to teaching modern languages. I spent 3 years teaching secondary French and Italian and then began working for Cockermouth Adult Education Centre teaching French and Italian to adults.
