Set between Teddington and Twickenham in West London, Strawberry Hill offers a quiet friendly environment in which to play golf on a challenging 9 hole course and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Clubhouse. SHGC is ideally situated for the motorway network, trains from London and is close to Heathrow Airport. Strawberry Hill was designed in 1900 by J H Taylor, one of the pioneers of the modern game of golf. Among his other achievements, he won the Open Championship five times, formed the PGA, and designed Royal Birkdale, still a regular Open venue. Our course has remained largely unchanged since it was first laid down and it still bears the familiar hallmarks of Taylor's courses, including the small humps on several holes which look harmless and yet seem to come into play far too often.
