Stirlings Jewellers

Stirlings Jewellers are the independent retail jewllers in Walsall. John Stirling opened the first shop in 1893 on Park Street (picture on right). In the early 1900's, he made the short move to the Victorian Arcade where the shop still stands today. When John Stirling passed away, his daughter, known as 'Mrs. Stirling' although she never married, carried on the business until her retirement in 1936.

John Parker, known as "The Chief", then bought the business. He built upon the sound foundations and the business continued through the War years and flourished in the post-war era where Stirlings reputation for trust and quality became renowned. John Parker retired in 1984.
