Stewart Accounting Services was set up in 2009 by Mark Stewart CA. Mark is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS). Mark qualified with a 4 partner CA firm in Glasgow in 1999 and has worked in various CA firms across Central Scotland. Most of his time was spent as a manager at Macfarlane Gray (now part of the French Duncan group) in Stirling. Mark had a period working with a multi million £ turnover first aid supplier as the finance manager before deciding he preferred the variety and challenges that working in practice offered. Mark’s aim is to assist small and medium sized businesses with all their accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and tax needs. Leaving them time to concentrate on running their business. Our clients are mainly based across the central belt of Scotland though we do have clients further afield who we work with on a remote basis. Unlike doctors and solicitors anyone can call themselves an “accountant” without having the necessary skills and experience you would expect an accountant to have. The title “Chartered Accountant” is recognised around the world as a professional designation indicating the highest levels of technical expertise, standards and ethical conduct. ICAS qualified Chartered Accountants can be recognised by the CA after their name and we would recommend you confirm this when seeking to appoint an accountant.
