My name is Kyley Harry and I am based in the gorgeous seaside town of St Ives in Cornwall. I have always had an interest in textiles, print, design, screen printing since school and in 1990 I decided to study a diploma in General Art and Design at Falmouth College of Art & Design, I continued my studies and completed a Btec in Fashion specialising in Textiles, Print.
Since finishing, I have trained and worked alongside Ken McMullen, at Lelant Upholstery who is a Master of Upholstery and this is where I found my passion for furniture.
It was in 2009 that I decided to set up St Ives Sewing & Upholstery and since then, the business has gone from strength to strength, adding more and more skills to my portfolio and I even have full property Interior Design, under my belt.
On a personal level, I really enjoy travelling and I use these opportunities to develop my interest in different types of fabric. I have been fortunate enough to see the silk process from start to finish and have picked up some amazing and exquisite fabric that can only be obtained from foreign countries.
