The Preschool is situated in the Elm Pavilion on Elm Lane. We have a dedicated securely enclosed playground with various equipment, as well as a securely enclosed field for ball games and running. Upstairs, the preschool takes place in the hall which has an adjoining balcony overlooking the playing fields.
At St. George's Preschool we aim to provide a stimulating, safe and caring environment where children can learn through play. We work at all times within a framework that ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families, regardless of race, culture, special needs, gender, lifestyle or family circumstances. We teach to a carefully planned curriculum giving all children opportunities to work towards the main aim of the Early Years Foundation Stage - helping children achieve the five Every Child Matters outcomes.
The Preschool is OFSTED inspected and a member of the Lewisham Branch of the PreSchool Learning Alliance. The Preschool claims the 2 year old and 3-4 year olds free entitlement from the Local Authority for eligible children.
