The set lunch menu is changed daily to offer fresh and seasonal dishes, the ala carte evening menu is changed every 2-4 weeks and is full of locally sourced produce and influence from French, Italian and modern British cuisine.

Square 1 aim to offer a casual relaxed dining atmosphere, concentrating on the food and service and obviously making sure guests have a great experience. In 2012 Spencer won Highly Commended Chef of the Year at the Essex Food and Drink Awards, Square 1 has also reached the finals of the Essex Life Fine Food & Drink Awards 2014 for Restaurant of the Year.
